Year 6 2025 - 2026

Our teacher in Year 6 is Mr Booth and he is helped by Mrs Murphy.

We hope you have had a fabulous Summer and we are looking forward to teaching you this next year and hope you will enjoy your time in Year 6.

PE DAYS: Monday and Friday

Home reading: Children will be expected to read at home regulary and have their reading record signed. Spellings will be sent out on Friday's with a week to learn them read for a test the following week. Maths and English homework will also be sent out Friday, with a week to complete.

Autumn Term

English: The children will be reading The Nowhere Emporium, delving into the world of magic and mystery. They will also study biographies linked to Evolution in Science.

Maths: Maths will consist of solidifying place value up to 10,000,000. They children will also learn larger subtractions, additions, multiplications and divisions.

Science: In Science children undertake new learning in the form of Evolution and Inheritance, discovering where and how the Earth started with a scientific view.

Topic: In topic the children will learn about North America in Geography and WW2 (specifically women's roles) in History.
